Day 1 (USA – Havana) Arrive at Havana’s José Martí International Airport and meet your Cuban driver and guide after going through customs, then check into Hotel TBD after a brief car tour of the main Havana neighborhoods. After settling in, we’ll take a guided walking tour of Old Havana, highlighting the main plazas and points of interest. In the evening there will be an included group welcome dinner at a restaurant TBD.
Day 2 (Havana) After breakfast we’ll have a guided tour of the Cuban collection at the Museum of Fine Arts, then we’ll travel to the neighborhood of Jaimanitas to visit the home/studio or artist José Fuster where lunch will be included. There will be time to learn about the community revitalization projects he has undertaken with the help of his neighbors. After leaving Fuster we will visit the home of Cuban photographer Roberto Salas, who spent many years in New York prior to the Cuban Revolution. In the later afternoon, we’ll visit DJ El Jiguey, founder of the first independent Cuban record label for a private presentation of Cuban music including Cuban Jazz. Dinner on your own.

Day 3 (Havana – Las Terrazas) Las Terrazas is a planned sustainable community built on an old coffee plantation. On our way, we'll visit Finca Marta for lunch and a tour of the organic farm. Later we tour the Las Terrazas Community before checking into Hotel Moka. Dinner will be on your own.
Day 4 (Las Terrazas – Viñales) We continue to Viñales, stopping to meet with workers at a local tobacco farm. We'll enjoy lunch in Viñales at the organic farm El Paraíso. After, we check into hotel El Encanto where you'll have the afternoon to unwind. Dinner on your own.
Day 5 (Viñales - TBD) After breakfast we’ll take a day trip to a location TBD to meet with an expert on Cuba’s coral reefs. We will have lunch and return to Viñales in the late afternoon. Dinner will be on your own.
Day 6 (Viñales) Thursday we hike through the Viñales valley meeting with local farmers. Enjoy lunch on your own in the Viñales town center. We will have the afternoon open to explore the town or enjoy recreational activities. Dinner will be on your own.
Day 7 (Viñales – Pinar del Río – Havana) We head back to Havana stopping in Pinar del Rio to visit the Amor y Esperanza workshop for children with Down syndrome, run by local artist Jesus Carrete. We will have lunch in Pinar del Rio. We continue to Havana and check into our hotel. Dinner will be on your own (recommended La Tierra). After dinner we'll enjoy the evening with local musicians and artists at the Fábrica de Arte Cubano (FAC)
Day 8 (Havana) Saturday we visit Pepe Viera, former Cuban ambassador to the United Nations, at his home for a talk on U.S./Cuba relations. Lunch will be on your own, with time to explore the San José Crafts Market. In the evening we will enjoy an included farewell dinner at a Restaurant TBD.
Day 9 (Havana – USA) After breakfast we check out of our hotel and travel to the airport for our return flight to the U.S.
